Homages Pour In for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days following the shocking loss of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the couple.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt prepared to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can finally put my grief into words," posted Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced spending more time together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the production, adding that he could not remember "one day without joy".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official agreed to prevent the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive placed a restriction on the files to limit the public release of "all case details, notes, reports or photos" connected to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of murder, with a official listing noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

After the killings, public personalities shared divergent responses.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing controversial remarks that were widely condemned by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the critics recently. Talking on his podcast, Rogan described the statements as "shocking" and remarked they showed a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by remarking that an adviser ought to have intervened when the decision to comment on the death was made.
