Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, per an official statement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet touched down in accordance with standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, including Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer said in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.
This incident isn't the first time that a US military aircraft carrying a senior official has encountered mechanical issues.
In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to turn back to the US capital after suffering a mechanical problem.
