The rising star maintains considerable social media audience
Kai Trump will have numerous well-known backers when she begins her LPGA debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to Donald Trump, received a special exemption to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, owns numerous golf courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she stated.
She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Just stay calm."
"He basically advised me to go out there and have fun," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on running the country, so he's quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in only three events this year and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
But she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with her mother.
"He is the greatest golfer globally," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a superior person. He advised me to go out there, relax, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in the sport at the competition, such as world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that involving Kai helps introduce golf to new audiences, particularly reaching youth audiences.
The young star has millions of followers and recently launched a personal clothing and lifestyle label.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
